A Mommy-girlfriend of mine was surprised by an invitation to a pre-emmy party. She and her husband organized their schedules, found sitters (!) and took off for LA. It was one of those celebrity hosted parties. She said Jon Hamm was on the hosting list and I went deaf after that. Wow. My friend, Kelly, knows all about my “hobby”. She was even at the Finale party I hosted at the end of the last season.
I ran into Kelly today. And she told me all about the party. Here are the highlights:
“Hot hot hot. Everybody is hot”
These people are as beautiful as they are on TV.
Kelly made Kathy Griffin laugh.
But really, most importantly, she talked to Anya.
I had the courage to ask, “So, did you tell her about us?!” She said “Of course! She was really easy to talk to.”
“What did you say?”
“I am a fan, but you know, I know an even bigger fan of the show…” and she went on to tell her all about PPR.
Man! I think that Tim now has my cell number and my spot on season 11 is secure. I think Heidi is coming to the next party at my house where we decorate cupcakes. You know what, if none of that happens, my girlfriend had a conversation about us with Anya. And that is so cool. We are all just 2 degrees from the show now.

This is seriously cool. Can’t wait to hear about Tim’s phone call.
Okay, first of all, I want to be invited to PPR parties. Seriously.
Secondly, I want to be friends with Anya. She was the best.
(And Kelly is awesome. Her children rock, but not as much as your child does!)
