This week’s challenge is all about the places we call our hometown. Whether it’s the town you live in now, the one you grew up in or any other place that feels like home to you, we want you to create something that represents it. Looking forward to seeing where everyone is from & how they turn it into a craft!
Here’s a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing…
This pillow I embroidered last year featured the iconic Grain Belt Beer sign that towers over the Mississippi River here in Minneapolis.
If I still lived in Michigan I’d be tempted to knit myself a pair of these mittens marking my town.
Or perhaps you’re all about your hometown team & want to make something to celebrate them like this Vikings’ hat I knit for my nephew.
What I’m really hoping though, is that Susi makes some fabulous string art of the Golden Gate Bridge for us!

This one sounds really fun! I've got a pair of those Michigan mittens…not from there, but we live in MI now. 🙂
Perfect, I'm heading there this weekend!
I'm looking forward to this one. I have the perfect project in mind!
Fantastic project is being planned … it ties in really well with a demonstration piece I need to do for a silk painting course I'm running this weekend!
Your embroidered pillow gives me an idea…I can guarantee that it won't be a pillow, but it will be embroidered. I'm so excited about this one!
oooooo, i like this one! hopefully i'll manage to get something done, since i failed the gold challenge!
