Granny Square A-Long

If you’ve been following along on this site for anytime, you know one of the things I’ve been hoping to master is crochet. I felt like as a knitter it should be easy for me, so far that is not the case. Last year for  Iron Craft’s Fear challenge I struggled through my first granny square.
Iron Craft Challenge #43 - Learning to Hook
I’m embarrassed to say I haven’t picked up a hook since. Well, that is going to change now. I have decided to participate in Wise Craft’s Granny Square A-long. Each week we will crocheting a different granny square to create a sampler afghan. One square a week doesn’t sound too intimidating and what a wait to practice a new skill. This week our homework is to chose our yarn and colors. I’m hoping this will be a good stash buster for me.

I’ll be posting my progress, both good and bad here. Anyone else up for a little crochet challenge?
