Iron Craft Challenge #47 (and #46) – Tablecloths

This week’s IC challenge was to make something to decorate the table. My submission is not only that, but it is also a gift, so I am covering last week’s challenge as well.

The real star of this project is the fabric. It is doing all the work.

I live near a Crate and Barrel outlet store and one week they were running a massive sale on Marimekko fabric.
Table Cloth
This bold pattern was just screaming to be a tablecloth. And for the price, I could buy yards and yards of it. They are just decadent.

I would write up a tutorial for them. But that might be patronizing.

  • Buy the fabric
  • Iron a double folded hem
  • Pin it down
  • Sew all the way around

Easy-Peezy-Lemon-Squeezy.

I have these AMAZING bold holiday tablecloths now. All ready to go for the holidays. YEAH!
