The problem with making something that comes in pairs is that after you have the fun & challenge of making the first one you still have to make the match. For me, once the first one is done I feel like I’ve conquered the project & I’m ready to move on to the next one. My head starts planning the next project in my queue. I’ve heard some people when knitting socks do two at a time, I can see why that makes so much sense. I wonder how many people have single hand knit socks & mittens sitting around waiting for their match to be knit?

I like your goal. i look forward to checking in to see what you're working on….
thinking about your post i don't think i ever made a pair of anything and now i know why!
I've made socks both one-at-a-time and two-at-a-time. I don't think I'll ever go back to making them one-at-a-time! The dreaded "second sock syndrome" is enough to keep me from even starting a pair of socks singly. Mittens could easily be made two-at-a-time if you're knitting in the round.
Awesome goal! I have been watching the development of these mittens and I LOVE them! So cute!
And I totally know what you mean about finishing the first of a pair. I have socks and mittens sitting around waiting for mates. I think I'm going to have to try two at a time at some point. Good luck with mitten #2!
