I took a little break from quilting & knitting today & had a blast sewing these little sock bunnies. I love how quirky they are, I think they look like bunnies that live where the wild things are. The pattern for these guys is in the cutest book, Stray Sock Sewing: Making One of a Kind Creatures from Socks
They’re super easy to make requiring only basic hand-sewing & embroidery skills. Each bunny only takes one toddler size sock to make. The heel of the sock becomes the face of the bunny so its important to find socks where the heel is a contrasting color. The ankle of the sock is cut to form the ears. The toe is cut off to stuff the sock & then sewn closed. I wanted to add tails to my bunnies (something not in the pattern) & realized the piece that was cut off from the toe worked perfectly for that.
I plan on whipping up a whole warren of these cute sock bunnies to fill the Easter baskets of my six cute nephews…if I can bear to give them away.

so cute! I love them. Unfortunately I wear my socks out on the left heel..due to a screw in it 🙁
