#111 – Fix-it Day

#111 - Fix-it Day
Spent the morning fixing a few items needing my attention. First was a sweater with a run in it. Luckily it wasn’t too bad & I was able to just pick up the stitch just like when I drop one in knitting. I use safety pins as my needles because they are small * I can close them & hold the stitch. The repair is completely invisible. The second repair was resewing on some paillettes on a shirt. The stitches cam undone the first time I wore the shirt! What can I expect for a $10 shirt from Target? This was another easy fix especially since I discovered the problem right away & didn’t lose any of the paillettes. Don’t you hate it when you buy something & have to repair it right away? I cant tell you how many buttons I find loose on new clothing.

Handmade 365 2010- My goal is to spend time everyday working on something handmade for a year & photograph it.
