Hi, my name is Srilakshmi. I am from Bangalore (India, Asia). I am a Paediatric Speech Therapist on a 2yr break and so a full-time housewife now! I am married to a wonderful human being and we are currently in Germany on his 20mths deputation from work. I am enjoying the wonderful landscapes here and crafting away to glory!
I’m the kind of gal always making gifts and cards for family and friends. I love to try all kinds of crafts. I enjoy all kinds of Paper crafts , Scrapbooking, Fabric Painting, Rangoli (traditional Indian sand art) and lots more! I’m self taught and don’t mind experimenting. I am strongly committed to making Recycled crafts and so you will see me collecting all sorts of things- bottle caps, seeds, shells, paper, cards, buttons….and a whole lot of interesting things!
I draw my inspirations from the various things that I collect, from crafts I see around me and from talented crafters sharing ideas on their blogs and of course from my Mom, she is the one who has nurtured my interest in crafts. And also from the cute and interesting children I meet at work. I make a whole lot of crafty reinforcements and keep them handy as gifts of appreciation of their efforts!
Crocheting and Tatting have always been on my “to-learn” list. My Mom is the one sewing the first birthday dresses for children in my family and here I am, not knowing to use the sewing machine….why…. I have always been scared that I did run the needle on my fingers while sewing….LOL!! I must learn…I MUST!
I blog about the crafts I learn, do and enjoy at chinnuscrafts. The blog is still in its infancy. Learning to host this blog was an eye opener to a whole new world out there and am enjoying being a part of this interesting ‘Blog’ world! Apart from Crafting I also enjoy Photography, it gels well with my craze for travelling. I have a big dream that I did get to see the whole world in this life!
I’m away from most of my resources (back home) and trying to give my best to this challenge with materials available at hand……I wish my husband’s company gave me ‘Craft’ Cargo allowance!! Never mind, I guess being a part of Iron Craft’s Community is the best part of it anyways.

nice to meet you!
It's so great getting to know more about you. I'm terrified of my sewing machine, too. I know it wants to eat my fingers. lol I always love seeing what you come up with each week. 😀
I love putting a name with a face AND blog. Now I feel like I know you better…..and glad for it. You are seriously talented!
