Congrats fellow crafter !!!
Thank you! I'm so glad a dollar store project is getting recognition! I will be putting up the tutorial at http://www.dollarstorecrafts.com later this week. Thank you to everyone that voted for me. There were so many amazing projects that I didn't think I'd even be in the running! Everyone participating is so talented, so this really is an honor.
Congratulations from me too, Decor8. Well done.
Congrats Decor8! It really is a beautiful project and I love that it is a dollar store project!
congrats!!! that project is just precious!!!!
Congrats!! it was a lovely project!
Congratulations! It's such a sweet project. 😀
I wish we could know some of the runners up. This voting seemed a bit too behind the scenes.
Not that I saying there was any funny business, but with the first contest we could see how all the other projects did.
YKWIM?
Lolly – I did it this way because so many people complained about the last way we did it. I also thought there was a little more surprise behind the winning announcement. Plus, anyone who didn't get a vote wouldn't get their feelings hurt. Believe me I have no reason to rig the results (I certainly hope people out there don't think we were doing anything underhanded).
Anyway here are the top 4 runners-up
2nd – #10 Magnolia Leaf Butterflies
Tied for 3rd – #4 Bird's Nest Display & #17 Garden Purse
4th – 3D Blossom Box
Lolly, I would love to have a running totals feature too. But there are some real limitations to the free polling software. Kat and I talked about the pros and cons of all the different ways we could do the voting. The major benefit to this system was that the pictures were linked to the web sites. And the pictures could be bigger than they would have been using a 'free tool'.
We felt like the link were really valuable in helping people get more exposure, see other views of the project, and see a larger version of the project.
Hope that helps outline our 'thinking behind the administration' of it.
Happy Crafting.
