How is everyone keeping up? Are you ready for mitten #4?

I get a little giddy when I see them all together.
This week I want to talk a little bit about the yarn amounts. I am figuring out the amount each mitten uses by weighing the yarn before and after knitting. I know a gram of Palette is 4.62 yards of yarn. With those two figures I can figure out approximately how much yarn I use, BUT, it is only as exact as my kitchen scale. So, when I weighed the yarn for the first mitten it came out to about 30 yards, but all the mittens since are coming out between 35 and 42 yards. So, that means in the end I’ll end up using between 840 and 1008 yards. I should still have more than enough yarn with the six balls of Palette, but I wanted to give you all a heads up.
