Iron Craft ’14 Challenge #3 – Olympics Inspired

It’s just over a week until the start of the 2014 Winter Olympics. I don’t know about you, but I always get wrapped up in the Olympics from the opening ceremonies through the closing ceremonies. For this challenge we want you to be inspired by the Olympics. We are not so much looking for Olympic themed project (though you are welcome to do that), but more projects inspired by anything at the Olympics that grabs you.

Perhaps one of the logos calls out to you for a knitting pattern. Or the rings inspire you to make a ring project. Maybe it’s the Olympic colors that give you an idea.

Perhaps one of the mascots inspires you to create a mascot of your own. Or you want a scarf like Mr. Polar Bear.

Maybe you want to make something inspired by Russian folk designs like the Russian team uniforms. Or maybe something to support the country of your choice. You might be inspired by the figure skaters and the shapes the create on the ice or their sparkly outfits. Have fun with it and show us where the Olympic inspiration takes you.

Reveal day is Tuesday, February 11th. Please only post in progress photos before that date. Tag your photos with IC143 and IronCraft.
