I am working on my mittens to enter in the MN State Fair. When you work with two of more colors the yarns get twisted when you change colors.

When I was taking Jared Flood’s colorwork class a couple of years ago, he said that you should always pick up one color under the other one (so they are more in lines), and if possible have a ball of yarn on each side of you. With those two tips, I pretty much don’t have any twisting to undo in my fair isle and it still looks awesome!
