Breweries, Baseball, Ribbons, and Winter Woolens…

So much going on knitting-wise these days!

Last weekend was World Wide Knit in Public Day. A group from the MN Knitters’ Guild took over part of the Surly Brewing taproom.

It was a great excuse to bring out the beer bottle I knit years ago for a store window display.

The Guild also took our knitting out to a Minnesota Twins game for a Stitch N Pitch day.
I love my t-shirt from Three Kittens Needle Arts!

The Minnesota State Fair is quickly drawing near and I think I’ve mentioned here that this year part of it will be the Great Minnesota Knit Together. I’m in charge of the life-sized topiary of a horse that the Guild is yarnbombing. It is amazing how much knitting is need to cover something like this! I am currently knitting prize ribbons non-stop.

You can find the pattern for these here on the site. I’ve been making them large by adding a second round of ruffles. I’ve got these down to about one and a half a day!

And next Monday starts the Wee Winter Woolens KAL! I have finished knitting all my samples with this little hat.

I had such fun coming up with these quick little knits, I can’t wait to see what everyone does with them!
