How about a quick “I CAN finish!” project! Start the New Year off clean!
This scarf is made from Big Blanket Yarn.
The bummer is that it looks like this yarn is sold out everywhere.
Super Big Scarf
Supplies:
- Blanket Big Yarn (by Bernat) One ball
- Size 50 needles
Directions:
Cast on 5 stitches
Knit all stitches (both sides) until yarn is almost out, approx 51 rows. Cast off.
Notes:
It was neat to knit with, and obviously very fast. But I can tell you that it was not super easy “beginner” yarn. The issue is that the yarn does not slide easily. It sticks to itself, so that it is hard to keep it from getting too tight. When you wrap the yarn on the huge needle, there is very little chance for it to “pull through”, so on the big needles you do not get a lot of opportunity to push it down off the tip to make the loop bigger. And the yarn does not stretch. So I was careful, and knit well down the needle off the tips.
Here is the finished scarf
Have Fun! Happy Knitting!
