Well, we’ve reached the point where I can no long fit the total number of objects on the mitten. I tried lots of ways, but it was like little stick figures! So, we have one maid standing in for all Eight Maids A-Milking.
I based my maid on a little Dutch version with her pointed hat and milk bottle yoke.

Options, options, options…you’ve got them once again. You will find three charts in this download. One is the very plain version which I knit up with just our little maid on it. There is also a version with leaves and vines above her for those of you who wants a little more full mitten. And finally, there is the version with the number on the back. (I used the maid with holly on this one too as it will make your knitting easier if the colors are worked all the way across both sides of the mitten.) Those of you using multiple colors or beads will probably find a few places you can add them this week too.
And here is my set so far. I am happy with it, but if I was to reknit anything, I would go back and add holly above the maid.
