Mitten Garland Advent Calendar – Mitten #15

Happy Monday! Here is mitten #15 all dressed up in pinstripes.

This one is pretty easy, but the little touches of red are slightly fiddly. I did the number in an modified intarsia. It’s not perfect, but I like it better than my duplicate stitch. I also tried to really concentrate on gauge with this one since it is an all over pattern. My stitches came out just right and it was the same width as the others, but my rows were longer making it a slightly longer mitten! Still, I do have to say I am feeling better about how my color work gauge is getting closer to my straight knitting gauge. (This will come in handy as I’d like to do a sweater next year with color work at the hem and cuffs.)

My set it looking pretty good, though for some reason the new ball of red seems to bleed when blocked where the last one didn’t, hrumpf.
