My husband and I are looking to sell our house and move into a condo, which means it’s time for a Great Clean Out. I’ve started in my craft room (packing the important stuff first, right?!) and I think it is time to cull out some of my knitting books. So..every Thursday for the next couple of weeks I’ll be giving away a set.
This week it is the Debbie Bliss baby books. They are beautiful books, but I don’t have any babies to knit for in my life anymore.
These books are full of classic patterns for newborn through 3 years. Debbie Bliss really does the sweetest children’s designs. I believe both of these books are out-of-print.

What a great giveaway! I still have one little one of my own to knit for… and now three friends with babies on the way! Thanks for hosting the giveaway!
I love Debbie Bliss! Her pattern instructions are clear, concise and easy to knit even for a beginner. Her yarn is absolutely yummy to knit and delightful to work with. I had already purchased three of her books for babies, which I loved, and I was looking for patterns to knit for my fashionable four year old granddaughter. When I found “Junior Knits” I couldn’t wait to cast on. My granddaughter loved the first sweater and now I’m on the third. I expect I will make every sweater in the book. This is definitely a book for every knitting mother and grandmother.Don’t be put off by the fact she references her own yarns for the projects. I’ve used both Debbie Bliss yarns and other yarns. I prefer the Debbie Bliss but if you can’t find Debbie’s yarn or find them a bit pricey, the yarns’ are standard weights and you can easily do substitutions. Just do a little research and make sure you make a swatch. Happy knitting!
I’m way past the age of having babies, but keep busy knitting and crocheting gifts for friends. Am hoping someday soon to have great-grand children to knit for!
I have a grandson who would fit in these size ranges. Plus now my friends are becoming grandparents, so I will need to be knitting up shower gifts. I didn’t knit when my children were young and when my first grandchild was born I still didn’t knit. There is 5 years difference between the two of them. I have childrens patterns butnot many baby patterns. Thank you for the chance.
