I love the pop art look of these bright blue labrador bookends from Pottery Barn Teen. (I am the girl with a bright yellow gnome in my garden.)

These would be such an easy DIY. A few scrap blocks of wood, some toy animals and some glossy spray paint would be all you would need to make it work. I think if you were using plastic animals it would be important to prime it or use a paint for plastic, so it doesn’t flake right off.
Hmmm, need to keep a look out for some pigs that would be the right size to do this for my house. What animal would you want on bookends in your house?
