Hmmm…am I breaking some copyright rules calling this quilt the Lego quilt or do I have to say building blocks? Anyway, I finally finished the top for this quilt.
It’s been a simple one to piece (except for my mis-measurement of some of the black border peices). So now I’m thinking about the quilting. My original plan was to machine quilt in the ditch around the white squares. Then to hand quilt around each colored block in its appropriate color as well as eight circles in each block. The black borders will also get circles quilted in. Now I’m tempted to just embroider the circles in each block before putting together the quilt sandwich, it’ll be a lot quicker for a novice hand quilter like me though take some of the impact out of the back…decisions, decisions….

I love it! I won't tell Lego ;o)
If it was me.. I may do a free motion of the circles in the rectangles and in the border & stitch in the ditch the rest of it.
Love it!! :o)
looking good. You have orange lego in the USA…or is that part of your artistic licence?
Sea – We have legos in every color. Here is a link to my fabrics with the matching lego http://www.flickr.com/photos/katknits/5480430580/
I love it Kat. It is cool. I think it is totally cool that you and Matt like legos. I think maybe my husband and I should build some lego stuff. We end up being competitive with games.
That is great.
What else is going to happen on the back?
Then you could make your decision that way.
I believe the proper term is "interlocking blocks"
