April Showers Stitch Along

A couple months ago the Feeling Stitch blog started a weekly stitch along. I’ve been wanted to play along but just haven’t seemed to have had the time until now. This months pattern just spoke to me.

On top of that I was really inspired by this girl on a swing mini-quilt at comfortstitching. So, I figured I’d try my had at doing an appliqued & embroidered mini-quilt with this month’s pattern. My first step was to start cutting out the applique pieces.

My next step will be to make the patchwork background. I’m going to keep in the beige family so she really pops. From there I’ll applique her on & then hand embroider the details.
