Lots to do for my traditional quilting techniques class this week. First we had to hand piece the Eight-Pointed Star block.
Mine looks pretty good though I have a tiny hole in the middle which the teacher says she’ll show us how to fix.
Then we had to piece together Tumbling Blocks & Dresden Plate to applique on to a square in another class.
Both of these were pretty easy to do though I had to change the way my dark squares were cut on Tumbling Blocks because of the pattern in the fabric. It just didn’t look as good with the lines going vertically.
I hope everyone else in class is keeping up since we have 5 more blocks to make plus the applique & piecing of the quilt before we can even get to the hand quilting. With only 8 weeks to do it all if we fall behind the hand quilting may get just a small amount of time. Hand quilting is one of the main things I want to get most out of this class.

Those look great. You should be proud. I like the blocks.
