Just some random quilting stuff…

My next quilt, after the one for my class of course, is going to be a Lego quilt for Matt. He & I love to spend a snowy afternoon sitting in front of the fire building with Legos, yes, we are adults. We find that it’s a lot easier if you have a quilt to lay out to dump the Legos out on. The quilt is going to be an homage to the bright Lego colors & shape. Matt build me a model this morning of what he’d like the top to look like…out of Lego’s of course.

I have some good ideas for piecing & quilting this so it should be fun.

I finished the Grandmother’s Flower Garden hexagons for my quilt class, they’ll get appliqued on a square next week.

I loved making this! The paper piecing technique was really enjoyable & such a portable little project. I have an idea which I think could turn out pretty cool using it. Here’s what I’m looking at for the color palette on white.

The blue could perhaps be a touch more intense.

Ok, I’m going to put this out there so maybe I’ll hold myself to it. One of my Life List items is to enter something in the State Fair. I’m thinking it’s going to be a quilt & I’m shooting for this summer….will I do it?
