#136 – Laying Out My Sister’s Quilt

#136 - Laying Out My Sister's Quilt
When I made my first quilt the tutorial had a pick squares from a bag so the layout would be totally random. I found with this method I had to spend a lot of time moving the squares around to get it to a point I liked. I found for me doing it first on paper saves a lot of time. I number the squares based on the number of fabrics I’m using & how many squares of each color I have. Then I assign each fabric a number & lay it out according to the grid.

Handmade 365 2010- My goal is to spend time everyday working on something handmade for a year & photograph it.
