#69 – Bluebird of Happiness

#69 - Bluebird of Happiness Quilt
Another step done on the Bluebird of Happiness Quilt. This little hand appliqued bird is what gives this quilt its name. I did a folded applique method which was a little tricky around the beak & the end of the tail but I think I got it. I sewed around it twice just to make sure everything stays put. I really like the way the blue pops on here.

Tomorrow I’ll make the quilt sandwich & start the quilting. BTW if you’re a quilter Joann’s is having a sale on quilting fabric, supplies & batting currently.

Handmade 365 2010- My goal is to spend time everyday working on something handmade for a year & photograph it.
