Second set of mittens finished in 2010! And yes these are officially done right done to the ends being weaved in (I hate weaving in ends).
I’m very proud of the way the decreased turned out on these mittens compared to my pair. On these all the decreases are white creating a nice line. On mine you can see they are different colors. Now, I know how to write the designs in the future to get this nicer look.
I didn’t do as well on the thumbs because I was more worried about matching the pattern on the palm of the mittens than how the decreases would look. I also need to learn how to pick up stitches better so as not to have holes, luckily I could seal the holes up when weaving in the ends. (The holes were where I picked up three stitches on each side of the thumb.) Anyone have any good tricks or tips to prevent holes when picking up stitches?

So pretty! I totally agree about weaving in ends… no fun at all! I probably have a half dozen projects all finished but that last step:)
Gorgeous pair of mittens. I used to knit mittens all the time but now seeing yours I might just start a pair tonight!
Ooops forgot to mention how much I love the first photo…so clever how you hung the mittens with the gorgeous snowy background!
