Like what seems like everyone else these days I am deep into Harry Potter. I’ve seem all the movies but hadn’t read the books so decided it was high time. This Sunday was a lovely lazy day with a picnic down by the Bay & I read both books 1 & 2. I’m halfway through book 3 right now so I should have this whole series done pretty darn quick! Speaking of Harry Potter Craft featured Noe Knit’s Harry Potter window with all my knit goods in it last week. Unfortunately the link the the separate page doesn’t work but if you go to July 13th on the blog you’ll see it.
Matt’s family was here for a visit & we had a good time being tourists around the are with them. We took a trip to Point Reyes Lighthouse, apparently the foggiest spot in California.
Then spent a day at the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park followed by tea in the Japanese Tea Garden.
I have been doing some knitting though and have finished the back and left front of the Honeymoon Sweater.
I did have to rip back a good portion of the back & start with a different ball because of the color differences. This yarn really goes from light to dark within one ball so it looks a lot better when I’m changing balls of yarn if the joining point is similar in tone. Now that I’ve figured out I need to watch out for that the coloring looks much better. I bought some Dale Free Style in black Monday which will be the crochet trim for the edges. I wish it would be done in time for the Noe Knit fashion show on Saturday but at least I can show off Mrs. Darcy & all the Potter stuff in the window…speaking of that I think book three is calling….

That’s looking great! What’s the stitch pattern on there? I like how that looks.
I hope you enjoy the HP books. I’ve been addicted since day one, and reading the last was quite an event!
I know what you mean about HP! Your pictures are lovely.
