another totally crazy weekend but it looks like almost everything (other than the shoes) is done! just need to wrap a few gifts for the rehearsal dinner & attach some ribbon to the programs. matt & i have been joking that we won’t know what to do with our time once the wedding is over.
i needed to go to nordstrom’s on saturday so we ventured downtown despite that fact that it was the opening of the new westfield center (which is connected to nordstrom). it was nuts the amount of people down there but i have discovered what could be my favorite new store. san francisco is not an easy place to shop if you are a woman over size 8 & my girlfriends & i often complain about how hard it is to find something nice that fits us. well, the gap has opened a new chain called fourth and towne. its aimed at woman between 35 and 65 with both casual & dressy clothes. I could have gone nuts in this place with the beautiful sweaters, dresses and skirts. plus my size is right in the middle of the sizes they carry NOT the high end, how refreshing. i know where i’m shopping for my next pair of jeans as well. i have been searching for a denim skirt that wasn’t a micro mini or skin tight & they had the perfect one. matt also bought me a gorgeous sweater. i was very excited to tell my friend susi about the place on saturday as she had been looking for a dress…she started laughing telling me she had been on friday & had bought one! i think shopping for clothes might actually be fun for me again.
i taught my workshop at noe knit on sunday which went pretty well i think. the pattern for the slippers we made is so easy that even the beginners were planning to make more. i finished this pair out of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Superchunky.
i also finished the pink wrist warmers last night.
now i am back to matt’s wedding blanket…

Is this the same slipper pattern you have used for all of your slippers? Where oh where can we get this pattern? I would LOVE to make some. You make some really cute things.
I love the wrist warmers. Hope your wedding preparations continue to progress smoothly.
almost there girl! glad to hear the class you taugh went over well- I need to get some chunky yarn…
I love your pink handwarmers – aren’t they addictive? It is the third pair I make!
Gorgeous stuff, all.
I was thinking about you last night as I was knitting, considering crashing your wedding ceremony and calling out “Nice Clap you got for your wedding”.
;-> Of course, I’d never do such a thing, but it was an amusing idea….
I bought a denim skirt at Forth and Towne, too. I could have bought a lot more. Good store~!
