Challenge #22 – Al Fresco

It’s Memorial Day this weekend in the States and to a lot of people (especially those of us in colder climates) it is the unofficial kick-off of summer.
Picnic time
This is a Minnesota picnic, you can tell because everyone is in sweatshirts and sweaters.
People everywhere will be getting out in their backyards and local parks, firing up the barbecue and having a picnic. Your Iron Craft challenge for this week is to create something that can be used at a picnic, bbq or cookout.

Here’s some ideas to get you thinking…

A waterproof picnic blanket from Design*Sponge
Napkins that hold your silverware and roll up to go in your picnic basket from Make It Do
Create a special picnic food like these Cheesecakes in a Jar from My Baking Addiction
Set the scene with some pretty paper lanterns like these from our friends at Dollar Store Crafts.

Posting date is Wednesday, June 1. Only in progress photo may be posted before that date. Please tag photos with IC22 and Iron Craft. Since I’ll be on vacation on posting date, Swimmerchick from A Mom and 2 Things will be doing the round-ups for this challenge, it’s her first time doing it so cut her a little slack if it’s a little late or not perfect.

    • I'm looking forward to having time to do these again! After this weekend…

Also, I have that lemon fabric in my stash, and totally squealed about the fact when I saw it.
