Project: Mommy and Me Frozen Mittens

This is it guys, the end of my year of mittens. I’ve designed and knit a pair for every month of this year. Well actually, in December I’m giving you a bit of a Christmas bonus as I’ve designed this month’s mitten in both an adult and child sizes.
Mommy and Me Frozen Mittens
If you haven’t guessed, these mittens were inspired by the movie Frozen. Crazily, I haven’t seen it, but I found myself attracted to the blue and white color scheme. The design is a mix of snowflakes, swirls and hearts which really could be considered traditional Scandinavian as well Frozen inspired. Mommy and Me Frozen Mittens
I want to talk a little about the cuff on these mittens. Even though there is only 1″ of ribbing the cuff actually continues on for another 2″ for the adult mittens and 1″ for the child’s. So, you can see in this picture that it is a long cuff even though it isn’t all ribbed.
