After missing two weeks of Iron Craft challenges because I was on vacation in Alaska it’s great to be back in my craft room. This week’s challenge was to create something black and white. I’ve had an idea for a knit black owl bumping around in my head, so it was the perfect time to make that idea a reality.
I meant for him to be a Halloween project, but I’m afraid he didn’t come out very spooky looking. He’s really more fat and cuddly than anything else.
Maybe you can make one that is a little more frightening. The free pattern will be available later today.

Adorable!
he is cute. but I bet if you cut his eyes to slant inward at the top, he’d look adorably angry. 🙂
Rae – You know I was wondering the same thing…maybe next time.
Welcome back!
He’s very cute. I’m thinking I might make one for my nephew.
Precious! And if you wanted him to be a little more Halloweeny, replace the beak with some fangs. Now he’s a bat!
