Can you believe three months have gone by and it’s already time for our Spring Contest. Do you have what it takes to be THE Iron Crafter Spring 2011?! First, let’s look at the prize package! “Swag”
Dr. Russ donated the envelopes he made for the Oscar challenge to our crafty cause. Thank you Dr.!
(only a couple are pictured here).
A knitting pattern for hats in all sizes and multiple gauges.
This is great for someone just starting to knit or as a reference for a seasoned knitter.
Three yards of sparkly lanyard. That is enough to make your favorite ‘camp craft’ lanyard keychain project.
A ball of beautiful wool/silk blend, self striping yarn. This is a great gauge, and the self stripe effect makes it great for a beginner, and still fun for an expert.
And finally, a sampler of silk ribbons. These are hand died, and have a beautiful water color effect. They are perfect for embellishing something. Or making tiny silk flowers. Or any other decoration you can think of.
You’ll also get to post this badge proudly on your site declaring you the Iron Crafter Spring 2011!
For this week, the challenge is simply “Spring”. Do a project based on the season.
Here are the rules…
1. Create something based on the theme “Spring”. Only on project may be submitted per person. Project must be created during the challenge week.
2. Post your project to Flickr starting Wednesday, May 11th. Projects must be posted by 8:00 PM EST on Thursday, May 12th to be included in the contest.
3. Voting will start on Friday, May 13th and run through Sunday, May 15th. 4. Contest is open to everyone in the Iron Crafting group no matter where they live (yes, we’ll pay shipping to Australia, the UK or India even.)

You mean May, not Feb, right?
Quiltilicious – Yes, May. That is what I get for cutting & pasting!
